How did the brand come about?
The brand WayUp Clothing first came to light when I first saw the monkey on my partner Keenon Tinto who is the artiste of this great monkey design and when I saw it one time I just got that feeling that it was going to be the next big thing so I invested into it and here we are today on the way up.
What does it represent?
The monkey logo is a representation of a new age hip hop vibe in the Caribbean something to be separated by as our own mix and favour.
How did the brand get so big?
The brand got big not because of me but because of what it represents and how it is presented. I do video production so what I would do is film a music video for a low cost to include the Clothing into the videos and also I would use the local who's who personnel to also push the brand in the directions I want it to go.
Where do you see the brand in years to come?
I see this brand becoming one of the Big international brands like Roc A Wear or Raphael Lauren or any big brands in clothing, but it can only happen if I and the team believe it can and put in the hard work that needs to make it happen.
